ALL ABOUT MS. BURKEY
My name is Ms. Burkey and I am currently the STEM teacher at Washington Elementary. I was born and raised in Bay City and attended Bay City Public Schools. My school career started at MacGregor Elementary (K-4th), Washington Elementary (5th) Handy Middle School (6-8th) and Central High School (9-12th). I graduated from Bay City Central in 1998.
After I graduated from Bay City Central I attended Delta College for two years where I earned my Associates in Arts degree. My next step was Saginaw Valley State University where I graduated with my Bachelors in Arts (Elementary Education with minors in Math and Science). Lastly, I earned my Masters in Education with a concentration of Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University.

My Hobbies:
In my free time I enjoy going to my nieces sporting events, playing board games, working on graphic designs, spending time with my family and friends and reading.
- I have taught at Project Success, SVRC, HealthSource, Saginaw Public Schools (summer school), North Saginaw Charter Academy and Kolb
- While attending college I worked at The Bay City Times in several departments including circulation, advertising, editorial, and prepress
- I was a graphic designer at Valley Publishing & Fabiano Brothers
- I have traveled to several states and other countries including Canada and Mexico
- I have been in a Hot Air Balloon
